Applications Architect

Our client, an esteemed global corporation, is currently seeking an Applications Architect to join a significant defence project that will change the face of our military strength. Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality software solutions, you will join a thoroughly organised and technically sophisticated team of Architects who shape this federal agency's IT architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of application architectures
- Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, technical specifications, and design documents.
- Ensure that all applications comply with defence industry standards, security protocols, and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and design patterns.
- Work closely with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
- Facilitate and participate in technical discussions, workshops, and meetings to drive architectural decisions and problem-solving.
- Ensure all solutions are scalable, maintainable, and meet performance and security requirements.
Qualifications:
- NV1 Security Clearance (mandatory).
- Proven experience working in the defence industry, with a strong understanding of defence sector requirements and standards.
- Proficiency in architectural frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
- Expertise in a variety of programming languages, frameworks, and technologies (e.G., Java, .NET, Python, Angular, React).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
